New Service Includes Innovative Music Discovery Features and More; Groove Mobile Launches its Sixth North American Service

BEDFORD, Mass., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Groove Mobile, the world's leading mobile music service provider and MTS Allstream Inc., the leading full-service communications company in Manitoba, Canada, announced today an alliance to bring mobile music to MTS Allstream's advanced digital network. Today's announcement paves the way for Groove Mobile to bring its award-winning mobile music service and innovative music discovery features to more than 300,000 MTS customers, thus extending Groove Mobile's North American music operations to a sixth carrier partner.

MTS Allstream, one of Canada's leading national communications providers, will now make available to its subscribers the innovative mobile music services that have defined Groove Mobile as the leading mobile music provider around the globe. The MTS Mobile Music Store, powered by Groove, will provide full-track music downloads direct to mobile handsets, access to multiple charts, downloading high quality album art, shop and play, browsing and previews. The music service will also support dual downloading in which customers purchase music over the air and download a copy of the track to their handset and get a copy delivered to their personal computer. They will then have the flexibility of playing the track on their laptop or computer, transferring it onto an MP3 player or burning it onto a CD.

In addition, the new MTS Mobile Music Store provides music fans with easy access to the IODA Free Track Chart, which consists of four to five tracks that change every week. Supplied by IODA, the tracks will be available for download at no additional cost to MTS Allstream customers and act as a powerful promotional tool for the IODA catalogue, as well as increase store traffic. MTS Allstream customers will also be able to utilize the world's most advanced music discovery features with Groove Mobile's music recommendation engine that bases music suggestions on each customer's purchase history and recalculates with every new purchase.
