Hearst-Argyle Television Stations Receive Four RTNDA National Edward R. Murrow Awards

NEW YORK, June 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Three Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. (NYSE:HTV) stations received a total of four national Edward R. Murrow Awards given by the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) honoring broadcast journalism excellence.

WCVB-TV, the Company's ABC affiliate serving Boston, earned a national Murrow in the Spot News (Large Market) category for its coverage of area weather and flooding; KCCI-TV, its CBS affiliate serving Des Moines, earned a national Murrow in the Feature Reporting (Small Market) category; and WBAL-AM, Baltimore, earned an award in the Investigative Reporting category and an Overall Excellence award (Large Market), further solidifying its reputation as one of America's most honored radio stations.
