Cycling fans in California gathered from Stockton all the way to San Jose to watch today's Stage 3 (day four) of America's most prestigious and best-attended cycling race, the Amgen Tour of California, a unique, eight-day "rolling festival" through California that became one of the nation's largest and most recognized annual sports events after its first year in 2006. This elite 'Tour de France-style' race features 18 professional cycling teams and 144 cyclists from around the world competing for the highest prize purse of any cycling race in North America.
