Iconic Photographer Brad Elterman Shows at Next Models Management Beverly Hills

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Iconic pop, punk and rock photographer Brad Elterman (www.bradelterman.com) unveiled a retrospective collection featuring 25 of his images last night at the new Beverly Hills headquarters of Next Model Management. A star-studded crowd including Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols, the 'Mayor of the Sunset Strip,' Rodney Bingheimer and Seventies Pop Star Leif Garrett viewed photos of rock legends Bob Dylan, The Ramones, Blondie and the Sex Pistols taken by Elterman during the 1970s and 80s.

Elterman's work is also being featured at the Los Angeles Art Show, January 25 - 28, Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. Bamboo Lane (booth # 49) is presenting a series of his silver gelatin prints. In the past two years, Elterman has participated in six gallery showings.

Last night's Beverly Hills show was initiated by Marc Harpster, an agent at Next Models. "I saw Brad's work at a gallery in Venice and was blown away," says Harpster. "Next recently moved its offices into a penthouse in a classic mid-century Beverly Hills building and all that was missing was some amazing art. Since the seventies and eighties are so hot now, many of our clients and young models can really relate to Brad's work. His images are a perfect fit."

Elterman notes that the crowd pleaser image from the show was a classic and definitive paparazzi photograph taken in 1976 of Jacqueline Onassis. "This photo features paparazzo Ron Galella wielding his tape measure just to make sure that he is not within 25 inches of Jackie. I was about eighteen when I made that photograph," said Elterman.
