Verizon to Feature Live Game Broadcasts Over Broadband

Qualified Verizon High-Speed Connections Only Place on Internet to Watch

NEW YORK -- Verizon broadband customers who also subscribe to the NFL Network will be able to experience live NFL game broadcasts this week on the Internet, including the first Saturday night matchup, with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Atlanta Falcons, as well as the Thursday night matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.

Verizon and the NFL recently announced a new agreement that would provide NFL Network programming over the Internet to Verizon FiOS Internet and Verizon Online DSL customers who subscribe to either FiOS TV's Premier channel lineup or DIRECTV. In addition to the live games, which feature alternative camera angles and real-time statistics, the deal includes certain other NFL Network programming, such as college bowl football games and all-star games.

To access the new, online NFL programming, customers log onto their Verizon consumer broadband accounts and access the shows from the Verizon Surround online entertainment site (http://surround.verizon.net/). They can enjoy live programs at home or use any broadband connection to log on remotely.

Verizon provides the NFL Network TV channel to subscribers of its 200- channel, all-digital FiOS TV Premier package. Verizon is the only Internet service provider to deliver selected NFL Network programming over broadband.
