Comcast New Jersey's "Got Game": All Digital Cable Customers to Automatically Receive Rutgers Bowl Game

Comcast Offers New Jersey Analog Customers 30-Day Free Digital Box and Service in Time to Connect for December 28 Match-up

EAST WINDSOR, N.J., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Cable today announced that it will provide its New Jersey customers with a holiday gift, enabling all Comcast subscribers in New Jersey the opportunity to watch the upcoming Texas Bowl game featuring the Garden State's own Rutgers University against Kansas State, at no additional cost. The Texas Bowl will be carried by NFL Network on December 28 with pre-game coverage starting at 7:00 p.m.

Any Comcast customer with a digital box can simply tune into channel 180 to view the game. Comcast High Definition (HD) subscribers will also be able to watch the game in HD on channel 206. Comcast has carried NFL Network on a digital level of service throughout New Jersey since fall 2004. Almost 60% of Comcast subscribers in the state are digital customers, and most have already been enjoying the channel, along with hundreds of other digital channels, more than 8,000 video on demand offerings, an interactive program guide, and more.

Comcast also announced a gift for its analog (basic) subscribers or new subscribers, providing 30-days of a free digital box and Digital Plus service, enabling New Jersey residents to watch the game at absolutely no charge. Customers who do not currently have a cable box or have an analog box may visit any of more than 40 Comcast locations throughout New Jersey to pick up a free digital box and initiate their free 30-days of Digital Plus service.

To find the most convenient digital box pick-up location, customers may call 1-800-COMCAST or visit www.comcast.com and enter their home address and zip code. Comcast will try to accommodate all requests made prior to December 28, but encourages consumers to call or stop in early to ensure availability prior to game day.
