Telecom Israel 2006 Conference Partners With IsraelHighTech.TV to Bring Israeli Technology News to the World via Global Live Webcast
TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- November 6th through 8th, the Telecom Israel 2006 Conference and Exhibition will partner with internet TV start-up IsraelHighTech.TV to execute a groundbreaking three-day live internet broadcast. The most extensive webcast ever done from Israel, exclusive reports on the future of global telecommunications, though interviews with many telecom industry thought-leaders and demos of cutting-edge technologies, will be transmitted around the world. Live interviews with VON's Jeff Pulver and the Chief Scientist of Israel, as well as coverage of Microsoft's "Education Day", will be just some of the highlights of this exciting webcast!
As part of its media partnership with Telecom Israel, IsraelHighTech.TV will operate a 100 sq m (1076 sq ft) booth from which it will host a real-time online live broadcast stage in the main exhibition hall at Telecom. This booth will include a large stage area from which interviews with company executives, members of foreign delegations, product demos, and the like will be conducted in front of a live audience. Simultaneously, the IsraelHighTech.TV video production crew will capture all activity on the stage, so that it may be streamed live internationally on www.IsraelHighTech.TV and to cell phones via 3G technology. IsraelHighTech.TV news crews will also be recording reports inside Telecom exhibitor booths and covering special events taking place throughout the convention, editing them on-site, and webcasting them as well. One of these special events is Microsoft's "Education Day", which will bring together 800 of Israel's top science students with leaders of Israel's telecom industry. Telecommunication industry guru, Jeff Pulver, is currently scheduled to be interviewed live on Tuesday, November 7th at 5pm Israel time (10am EST in the U.S.) Scheduled interview listings will soon be posted on the IsraelHighTech.TV site.
The hours of exhibition in Israel (GMT +2) are 10am - 8pm on November 6th and 7th, and 10am - 6pm on the 8th. IsraelHighTech.TV plans to webcast continuously during those hours, and then immediately offer this content from Telecom 2006 as video-on-demand segments on their website. Through video-on- demand, Telecom-Israel 2006 will "live on" long after the Convention ends.
A live webcast of this magnitude has never been carried out in Israel before!
IsraelHighTech.TV, a new internet "television station", sees itself not just as a media agency, but as a high tech organization in its own right. One of its missions is to "promote Israeli technology with Israeli technology", and so IsraelHighTech.TV is actively forming partnerships with Israeli companies whose technology can be integrated into its production and distribution operations. The IsraelHighTech.TV booth/stage at Telecom Israel 2006 will demonstrate this integration. IsraelHighTech.TV's primary technology partners for the Telecom webcast will be the cutting edge Israeli companies BestTV and RADVISION.
BestTV is a leading provider of streaming video solutions for video-on- demand, IPTV and live broadcast over broadband networks. Using their proprietary technology platform, they will both webcast the Telecom event live at full-screen resolution, and provide the content as video-on-demand clips soon after each live event is completed.
RADVISION is the industry's leading provider of products and technologies for unified visual communications over IP, 3G and emerging next generation networks. Their new PC-to-Mobile technology will be integrated into the Telecom video production to allow live video news reports to be filed from anywhere in the Convention using 3G cell phones as cameras. They will also provide the live Telecom webcast itself directly to mobile phones through RADVISION's 3G Portal, based on their interactive video platform.
Telecom Israel 2006, held at the Tel Aviv Fair Grounds November 5th through 8th, includes an International Exhibition (6th through 8th) in which the world's biggest producers and leading service providers will host booths. There will also be professional interdisciplinary conferences, featuring keynote speakers, panels, discussions and workshops. The "Innovation Pavilion", presented by MATIMOP (Israeli Industry Center for R&D) on behalf of the Office of Chief Scientist in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor together with IMA (Israel Mobile Association), will host more than 50 promising Israeli start-up companies in one hall, and will also feature demo stations, showing a variety of integrated innovative telecommunication technologies.
