Haggar Clothing Co. Partners With FSN's 'Best Damn Sports Show Period' to Launch 'A Gentlemen's Disagreement'(TM) Tournament

Male Models Fight for Modeling Contract

NEW YORK, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Haggar Clothing Co. announced today that it is partnering with FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" on a one-of-a-kind competition to find a model worthy of being the face of Haggar. From unbustable buttons to unbreakable zippers to unrippable pockets, no fashion apparel company offers clothing more durable than Haggar. So, with the help of FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period," Haggar is looking for a model as durable as its clothing. "A Gentlemen's Disagreement"(TM) will feature eight male models doing battle to win the coveted Haggar modeling contract. Segments for "A Gentlemen's Disagreement" begin airing on "BDSSP" in November and continue through December.

The eight models will compete in a series of battles, including Lawnmower Joust, Paintball Posedown, Punish Sticks, Run Away, Laundry Dunk and Shocking Questions. Competitions will be hosted by Chris Rose, John Salley, Rodney Peete and Lisa Dergan Podsednik, the hosts of "BDSSP."

Paintball Posedown invites the models to give the camera their most alluring male-model looks -- while being shot at with paintballs. Lawnmower Joust has the models coming at each other with jousting rods -- while atop rider lawnmowers. Laundry Dunk features two models going head to head to see who can dunk more bundles of clothes in sixty seconds; the catch is that football rules apply and full body contact is allowed.

The models in all events will be wearing Haggar clothing -- from suits and ties to khakis and polos -- and the audience will see just how much pain and suffering the models, and Haggar clothing, can endure.

"We at Haggar realized we needed a model just like every other fashion company. Our challenge is that we're not like other every other fashion company," said Stephen Croncota, Chief Marketing Officer of Haggar. "Our clothing is really well-made, and it can withstand an awful lot of wear and tear and still look good. So we decided we needed a male model who could also withstand an awful lot of wear and tear and still look good. Thus, 'A Gentlemen's Disagreement' was born. And it's gonna get ugly ... in a good looking sort of way."

Added Adam Holzer, Senior Vice President of Ad Sales for Fox Cable Networks: "We wanted to do something fun and creative with Haggar to help their message resonate with consumers. 'Best Damn' was the ideal solution. The show's format gives us the flexibility to integrate our clients' products into the show while giving them more value in return."

"The fact that these guys will be wearing Haggar clothes through all these battles signals how well our clothing holds up under the most difficult circumstances -- such as jousting!" continued Croncota. "When we introduced our new Quality for Life clothing, we committed to make clothes so durable that we could guarantee them for the life of the owner. These eight models and 'Best Damn Sports Show Period' are helping us irrefutably make that point."

The entirety of "A Gentlemen's Disagreement" will be showcased over a five-week period, with segments airing each week for approximately five minutes during FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" program. The first segment will be an introductory segment, introducing the viewers to the premise of "A Gentlemen's Disagreement" and allowing viewers to meet the model challengers. After that, let the games begin, and the last man standing will be crowned the face of Haggar for the coming year and walk away with a $50,000 prize.

Haggar's new website, www.haggar.com, launched on November 1st, and will be the online headquarters of "A Gentlemen's Disagreement." The bouts will be showcased on the site once they have aired on FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period." The site will also feature in-depth information about "A Gentlemen's Disagreement" contestants, including special features that will not appear on television. In addition, the website has been designed to showcase the unprecedented quality, durability and reliability of Haggar branded apparel and encourage interaction with those products.
