Entravision Communications Corporation Completes Sale of Dallas, Texas Radio Stations
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE:EVC) today announced that the Company has completed the previously announced sale of its Dallas radio stations to Liberman Broadcasting of Dallas, Inc. for an adjusted purchase price of $92.5 million. The stations include KTCY-FM, KZZA-FM, KZMP-FM, KZMP-AM and KBOC-FM. As a result of the completed sale, the Company no longer has operations in the Dallas market.
Walter Ulloa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Entravision, commented, "The sale of our Dallas radio stations reflects our commitment to creating and maximizing the value of our assets to the benefit of our shareholders. The proceeds from this highly accretive transaction will bolster our balance sheet and improve our financial flexibility. Further, a portion of the proceeds from the sale may be used to repurchase shares in accordance with our $100 million share repurchase program."
On November 1, 2006, the Company's Board of Directors approved the repurchase of up to $100 million of its outstanding common stock. The share repurchases will be made in the open market or negotiated transactions as market and business conditions warrant, in compliance with securities laws and other legal requirements.
