T-Systems Transmits Supreme Master Television Program to Europe

Combined Fiber-Optic Network and Satellite Communications

LISLE, Ill., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Supreme Master Television (SMTV) today launches its first 24-hour channel in Europe. Raising the bar for television programming, Supreme Master Television has contracted with T-Systems' Media & Broadcast division to provide a fully-managed fiber-plus-satellite service operating on Eutelsat's HOTBIRD(TM).

SMTV's studios in Arcadia, California, feed the signals into T-Systems' own broadcasting network. The data is transmitted to Germany via its wholly-owned and operated global fiber network, the Telekom Global Network. From there, the media service provider distributes the programs to European households via satellite from its Frankfurt-based earth station.

"We are pleased that SMTV has placed its trust in T-Systems' services, and that we are enabling a new flavor of customer programming to reach Europe," said Jennifer Racine, Director of Sales, Video/Satellite/Multimedia.
