Animal Planet is airing Steve Irwin's memorial service exclusively in the U.S. commercial free on Tuesday, September 19th from 9-10 PM ET/PT, with an encore broadcast airing 12-1 AM ET/PT. The memorial service, entitled STEVE IRWIN: HE CHANGED OUR WORLD, will be a same-day broadcast with a 2-hour delay of the event Wednesday morning in Australia.

The public memorial service for the beloved animal conservationist and television personality is being held in the "Crocoseum," a 5,500-seat stadium at Irwin's Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Australia. Members of the Irwin Family, as well as Irwin's long-time friend and producer, John Stainton, are expected to speak. Donations in Steve's honor should be directed to http://www.wildlifewarriors.com.au/, a non-profit organization focused on the protection of injured, threatened and endangered wildlife.

Animal Planet is making a clip package available to US media outlets, however, there are several usage restrictions explained below. The satellite coordinates to access the memorial service clip package are:

This clip package is available on a non-exclusive basis for use by bona fide news services and news magazine outlets for news reporting purposes only and all uses are subject to the following:

* You may use no more than two minutes of footage in the aggregate on
television in the United States or online worldwide, during a period of
seven (7) days commencing on September 19, 2006.

* You must include an on-air chyron credit substantially as follows:
"'Steve Irwin Memorial Service' Courtesy Animal Planet." Such credit
shall run for at least fifteen seconds (:15) each time the footage is
broadcast, or for the entire duration of the time the footage is
broadcast if the use of the footage is less than fifteen seconds (:15).

Permission to use the footage is granted without any representation or warranty by, or recourse to Discovery, its parent companies, successors, networks, licensees and assigns. You are not authorized to use or otherwise exploit the footage for any purpose other than as set forth in this authorization and you shall indemnify and hold harmless Discovery, its parent companies, successors, networks, licensees and assigns, from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses brought in connection with your use of the footage, or your unauthorized use of the footage.

Requests for photographs from the memorial service need to be directed via email to judi@bestpictureshow.com and kirsten@bestpictureshow.com. Animal Planet will not have photos available via their press website.
