New Children's Memorial Hospital Program Conjures Up Healing, Magically

WHO: Disney Live! illusionist Brad Ross, local magicians and
Children's Memorial Hospital patients ...
WHAT: will explore the healing power of magic, as they launch a new
"Hospital Magic" program here. Hospitalized children will don
their wizards hats to become "magician's helpers" and learn some
tricks of the trade from one of the country's top young
illusionists. Designed to boost self-confidence and manual
dexterity, "Hospital Magic" enables young patients to practice
and develop a skill their "healthy" peers do not have.

WHERE: Children's Memorial Hospital - Brown Family Center
2300 Children's Plaza (corner of Fullerton and Lincoln Ave.),
Chicago
NOTE: Disney Live! presents Mickey's Magic Show, an all-new touring
stage production that combines favorite Disney characters and
world-class illusions, is scheduled to appear Oct. 12-15 at the
Rosemont Theatre and Nov. 3-5 at the Star Plaza Theatre in
Merrillville, Ind. For each of the first 100 tickets sold this
Friday, Sept. 15, Disney Live! will donate a matching ticket to
a Children's Memorial patient/family.
Local volunteer magicians will carry on the "Hospital Magic"
program, teaching/performing twice a month at Children's
Memorial.
