Madonna's 'Confessions Tour' Sets All-Time Record
All-Time Highest Grossing Tour by a Female Artist
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Live Nation (NYSE:LYV), a leading live event and venue management company, announced today that Madonna's "Confessions Tour," which wraps up tomorrow night in Tokyo, Japan, is the highest grossing tour by a female artist in history. The tour, which was produced by Live Nation's global touring division, The Next Adventure, led by Chairman of Global Music Arthur Fogel, played 60 shows in all, drawing 1,165,000 fans and grossing $193.7 Million U.S.

The "Confessions Tour" tops the previous record set by Cher, a three-year total of $192.5 Million from 273 shows, according to Billboard Magazine.
