James Carville and Mary Matalin Address Inforum Members in Grand Rapids and Detroit

DATE: Tuesday, September 12.
WHERE: DeVos Place, 303 Monroe St., Grand Rapids.

TIME: Inforum members and guests are celebrating the first anniversary of Inforum's West Michigan affiliation. They will mingle at a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Carville and Matalin will speak from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Matalin will speak first, for 20 minutes. Carville will speak second, for 20 minutes. They will take questions jointly from the audience.

MEDIA GUIDELINES: Sorry, but there will not be an opportunity to interview the two speakers before or after the event. Videotaping and filming of their presentations may only take place during the first three minutes and is limited to video only - no audio. Inforum's West Michigan program chair, Comerica Bank First Vice President Patti Griswold, will be available for interviews during the 5-6 p.m. reception in the Secchia lobby to provide background on the organization and information about the event itself.

WHERE: Cobo Hall's Riverfront Ballroom.

TIME: Carville and Matalin will be available to the media for a total of 10 minutes (5 minutes each, sequentially) beginning promptly at 11:15 a.m. in room W1-53, adjacent to the ballroom. Their formal presentation will begin at 12:20 p.m.

MEDIA GUIDELINES: No audio or video recordings may be made of Carville and Matalin's presentation. We will provide a mult box in room W1-53.

IN GENERAL: Hubers and Douglas can best serve you if they know who or at least what types of staff you may send (e.g. reporter, still photographer, TV reporter with camera, TV camera without reporter).
