Crackernomics Board Game Recognized by PBS Stations
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Crackernomics, the fun new board game that introduces business skills and global awareness to children, has been selected by KTEH Public Television in San Jose/San Francisco, one of the largest PBS stations in the country, to be a featured game during its upcoming annual Fall Auction.
Crackernomics is a highly interactive, action-packed game that teaches children economics, geography, international investment principles and basic entrepreneurial skills in a fun-filled environment.
"From the moment we saw the game, we recognized its potential value as a fun, educational game for young Americans," said Victor Backer of KTEH. "We are excited that Crackernomics recognizes the charitable implications of allowing some of the games to be auctioned during our annual fundraiser."
Available online in the United States at http://www.crackernomics.org/ , Crackernomics is already available in stores in Australia and South Africa.
Founder and CEO, Mark C. Liebig, PhD, anticipates that as the game is exposed to more people that he and his distribution arm, KSA Interactive, will begin offering the game in stores in the U.S.
"Being recognized by KTEH in the 5th largest television market in the U.S. is a tremendous opportunity for us," said Liebig. "One of the things KTEH and others have found with Crackernomics is that yes the game is fun, but that it also offers a business or entrepreneurial education.
"While playing the game, youngsters themselves have to decide, individually and jointly, if and when to invest, and when to trade. And then they see, in real time, what happens as a result of those decisions, and they end up learning like they've never learned before."
