DETAILS: What better way to continue Rocky Week than an appearance by
Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone? A statue dedication
featuring Mayor Street, Philadelphia-born actor Stallone and
many dignitaries to mark the new home of the Rocky statue at
the foot of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Frank Stallone,
Stallone's brother-musician, and actors Burt Young ("Paulie" in
Rocky) and Joely Fisher are scheduled to make appearances. The
activities also will feature legendary DJ and radio personality
Bob Pantano who will present The Don't Call Me Francis band.
The night will be capped off by a scheduled outdoor movie
screening of the original Academy Award-winning film Rocky near
the steps of the Art Museum.
Philly Loves Rocky Week celebrates the Greater Philadelphia's region appreciation of the legendary Rocky movies and marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the original film as part of the Rocky series, which helped create a positive image of Philadelphia worldwide Philadelphia is honoring one of its own. "Philly Loves Rocky Week" features boxing matches, the Rocky Look- Alike Contest, music and the annual Hero Thrill Show.

PARKING
TV vehicles should arrive at least by 4:30 p.m. to secure parking one space. Designated press parking on patio north side near Art Museum steps on patio. No parking permitted elsewhere. Load-in for TV no later than 4:30 p.m.
Parking for the 7 p.m. Stallone press avail at Water Works is available along Water Works Drive leading up to the Water Works restaurant.
