Eagles Kids Club Show Scores at Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards

Eagles Television Network's four wins brings total to 30

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Eagles Kid Club Show received top honors last night with its first Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award wins in two categories. The Eagles Television Network (ETN), nominated for nine Mid- Atlantic Emmy Awards last month, carried away 4 of them at the 24th annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards ceremony held Saturday, September 9, at the Philadelphia Marriott.

The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards recognize excellence in regional television news, programming, and individual achievement. Entries are judged by peer panels in other major television markets.

As the in-house television production agency for the Philadelphia Eagles, ETN came in second for the number of nominations announced on August 3, with a total of 97 nominations in nine years of entries and 26 awards.

The additional honors received at Saturday's award ceremonies bring the number of awards to 30.

Established in 1997 and headed by former NFL filmmaker Rob Alberino, of Andorra, ETN is known for its creation of compelling elements and features that capture the essence of the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans. ETN has also won 39 prestigious national Telly Awards.

Three ETN shows were up against each other for best Sports Series. The newest ETN-produced show, The Eagles Kids Club, was the first ETN show to be nominated for "Best Program" in two separate categories. New producer Joe Helder broke in with a nomination and producer Aron Kennedy received his first and second ever nomination for his sound design work. Joe Helder was not only nominated for his first and second as an ETN member, but won his first.
