Comcast Launches Seven New Channels in Albuquerque

The mtn., Oxygen, Si TV, TV One, TeleFormula, MHD and Universal HD Join Comcast's Channel Lineup

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comcast, the country's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, has added six new cable networks to its channel line-up in Albuquerque and will be adding one more in the next week. Si TV, The mtn. and TV One are available on Comcast's Digital Classic service. Oxygen is available on Digital Plus while TeleFormula from Mexico will be added to Comcast's CableLatino package shortly. Universal HD and MHD: Music High-Definition has joined Comcast's high definition line-up.

TV One offers a broad range of lifestyle and entertainment-oriented programming primarily for African American adults. With an engaging mix of original and acquired programming from key entertainment genres, TV One's programming provides a sophisticated alternative for adult African American viewers.

The mtn. (Mountain West Conference Network)

Comcast and CSTV have partnered to form and launch "The mtn.," a new network featuring athletics of the nine Mountain West Conference schools: University of New Mexico; the Air Force Academy; Brigham Young University; Colorado State University; San Diego State University; TCU; University of Nevada, Las Vegas; University of Utah; and University of Wyoming. Comcast and CSTV each own 50 percent of the network and Comcast will manage it.

CableLatino Channel 626

With Comcast Digital Classic, customers receive over 90 channels, more than 7,500 video-on-demand programs available each month from leading cable and broadcast programmers and dozens of music channels. Comcast now offers 12 channels of HD television service, including local affiliates that feature network shows and national sports coverage in HD clarity. Comcast also offers two CableLatino packages in Albuquerque. CableLatino consists of limited basic service and 24 Spanish-language news, sports and entertainment channels, a digital converter with interactive guide, digital music channels, and Pay-Per-View. CableLatino Completo offers the same services as the CableLatino package, plus full basic service, which consists of more than 70 channels including Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision.
