Industry Veteran Sanjay Mehta to Take Company's IPTV Solutions to the Next Level

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Kasenna(R), The IPTV Company(TM), a leading provider of video-on-demand (VOD) content and MPEG-4 ready IPTV applications for Triple Play services over broadband networks, today announced that it has hired Sanjay Mehta as its vice president of engineering to drive the company's engineering efforts. In his new role, Mehta will be responsible for managing all of Kasenna's engineering and QA activities and resources in the Sunnyvale, California headquarters and the company's R&D center in Bangalore, India.

Sanjay acquired his more than 20 years of broad industry experience in engineering, operations, and product management at start-up companies as well as large enterprises. Most recently, he served as senior director of global systems development at Quantum Corporation and prior to that was senior vice president of engineering and operations at Five9, a hosted call center technology and services company. In addition, Sanjay held the position of senior vice president of engineering at DirecTV Broadband and led the team that built robust, scalable and automated operational support systems for services provisioning and infrastructure management. He came to DirecTV Broadband via the acquisition of Telocity, a start-up, focused on providing nationwide broadband residential services. Prior to that Sanjay was at Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, DSC/Alcatel and Nortel.

Sanjay holds an MS in Computer Science from University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management.
