'Extreme Home' Update - Gilliam Home to Finish Two Days Ahead of Schedule

Local Community Joins American Heartland Homebuilder, Lombardo Homes
and 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' to Finish in Record Time

WHAT: The local builders joined Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and some 3,000 workers and community volunteers to make a family's dream come true by building an "Extreme Dream" home. The build began on Wednesday, Aug. 9 and was scheduled to be complete on Sunday. Due to the talent, commitment and dedication of this 'extreme team,' the Gilliam home is estimated to be finished this evening -- approximately two days ahead of schedule.

WHEN: The Gilliam's new home is slated to be completed Friday (Aug. 11) evening. The family will see their new home for the first time on Monday, Aug. 14.
