Detroit People Mover Stations to Feature Jazz During Weekend Labor Day Jazz Festival

A great complement to the weekend festival!

DETROIT, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- On Labor Day weekend, jazz is the destination at the Detroit Jazz Festival. But those who are getting there on the Detroit People Mover will get a head start because Jazzy People Mover stations will feature performances by jazz artists at various stops. The Detroit People Mover has partnered with Alexander Zonjic's Hi-Falutin' Music Company to showcase local performers during the four-day jazz festival, Friday, September 1 - Monday, September 4.

"When my friends from the Detroit People Mover approached me I thought 'what a great idea' to showcase jazz and add to the festival mood Labor Day weekend," said jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic. "These performers are designed to complement the incredible line-up that this year's jazz festival people have put together," he added. "If it promotes the city and great music, I'm always happy to help."

Barbara Hansen, General Manager of the Detroit People Mover, added, "As we enter our 20th Anniversary year, we are just beginning to present various special events and surprises that will help commemorate this great milestone.
