Children's Hunger Benefit, Taste of the Nation, Set for Wednesday, August 23, in Novi

NOVI, Mich., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- It's a fact that some children in Michigan go hungry, every day. You can help make a difference and raise money to feed our children, our future, at a special August culinary benefit.

Epoch Restaurant Group, owners of fine restaurants such as Tribute in Farmington Hills, and Forte in Birmingham, will be hosting the 2006 Taste of the Nation benefit dinner for the national hunger relief organization, Share Our Strength.

The event will be held this year on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., at Epoch's Diamond Center ballroom, located at 46100 Grand River, inside the Rock Financial Showplace. Chefs from around the state of Michigan will feature their cuisines that will include over twenty restaurants, as well as fine wine, cocktails and musical entertainment.

One hundred percent of the ticket proceeds from Taste of the Nation will benefit metro Detroit hunger organizations including: Variety, The Children's Charity; Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute; and Gleaners Community Food Bank, Inc.

Taste of the Nation tickets are $125 for VIP admission, which includes entry one-hour prior, beginning at 5:30 p.m., for an advance preview of food, wine and cocktails, along with an opportunity to mingle with Michigan's celebrated chefs.
