Burbank Area Union Members to Join NABET-CWA Mobilization on July 21

Why: Union members are mobilizing to support technical, production,
writers and newsroom workers at KVEA and KWHY studios.

Burbank, Calif. -- Union members and supporters will rally on Friday, July 21, at 11 a.m., at the NBC/Telemundo studios in Burbank, calling on management to keep its word and honor the recently ratified collective bargaining agreement.

About 220 union-represented workers are fighting for the contract that was negotiated and ratified by members last March. Management however, has refused to follow some contract provisions.

NABET-CWA workers will be joined by Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Executive Secretary-Treasurer Maria Elena Durazo and members of other unions, including CWA, Service Employees and speakers who support their fight.
