Starz Entertainment Group Promotes Clif Watkins to Executive Director of Channel Management

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Group LLC (SEG) announced today the promotion of Clif Watkins to channel management's executive director strategic planning for the Encore Movie Pack and Movieplex Movie Pack. Watkins works out of the corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colo., and reports to David Charmatz, senior vice president, channel management.

In his new position, Watkins will be responsible for developing the strategic direction and evolution for SEG's Encore Movie Pack and Movieplex Movie Pack channels. He will also oversee those channels' monthly promotional and creative production plans as well as ensure the availability of key content and promotions for the Encore and Movieplex channels. Watkins, who has been at SEG for two years was previously director affiliate, marketing and strategy. While in this position Watkins managed marketing efforts for DBS affiliates and national markets groups.

Prior to his employment at SEG, Watkins managed new product developments efforts for AT&T Broadband. This included work on the cable industry's first DVR development efforts. Watkins also served as director of product marketing at Comcast Cable.

Watkins graduated from the University of North Carolina with an undergraduate degree in music. He is currently affiliated with the Standard and Poor Society Industry Leaders, National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). He has been a three time CTAM Mark Award Winner (1997-2004), received a Beacon Award in 2000 and is a recent graduate of the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
