Naks Mobile Offers Mobile Content From Ogie Alcasid to Mobile Phone Users in the US

First Filipino Mobile Entertainment Service in the US

WILTON, Conn., July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Ideas Inc., operator of Naks Mobile (http://www.naksmobile.com/), the first mobile entertainment service for Filipinos living in the US, has signed an agreement with leading Filipino composer and vocalist Ogie Alcasid to produce and distribute Ogie's content to mobile phone users.

As part of the agreement, Ogie, who also hosts several popular TV shows in the Philippines such as "Bubble Gang" and "SOP" on the GMA network, will provide ringtones, voicemail greetings, screensavers, wallpapers, themes and SMS infotainment text alerts.

Naks Mobile assisted Ogie to promote the launch of his latest album "Lumilipad" and recent US concert tour last May-June through the Naks Mobile web site and promotional material distributed in Filipino communities throughout the US. Nine songs from his album are now available as ringtones through Naks Mobile. Naks Mobile shall also be running national commercials in the US featuring Ogie on The Filipino Channel cable-TV network on programs such as "Wowowee," "TV Patrol," "Game KNB," "ASAP" and "The Buzz" to promote his mobile content.

"Creative and prolific artists like Ogie Alcasid are embracing the mobile platform as an effective way to reach fans," commented Chris Moya, CEO of Next Ideas. "Naks Mobile is thrilled to have the opportunity to help such renowned Filipino artists such as Ogie Alcasid to spread their music across the world," he adds.

Ogie Alcasid's original content will initially be made available through Naks Mobile's distribution network of carriers including Cingular, AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile USA and forthcoming carriers Sprint Nextel and Verizon Wireless. Mobile phone users can either order content from Naks Mobile's own web site, www.naksmobile.com, or through SMS using the service's short code 98556. To get a menu of Ogie's content, mobile phone users simply need to text OGIE to 98556 (standard text rates may apply depending on a subscriber's wireless carrier plan). For more information and terms and conditions, please visit the Naks Mobile website at www.naksmobile.com.

The retail price of the Ogie Alcasid content will range from $0.99 to $2.50 per download. A forthcoming SMS text subscription package will be available for special Ogie Alcasid SMS infotainment text alerts.

Filipinos represent the third largest ethnic group in the US with over 3.2 million people. With an average household income in excess of $65,000, the spending power of US Filipinos is estimated at over $35 billion per year.
