British Rock Band Keane to Perform and Sign New CD at Borders(R) Time Warner Center - The Shops at Columbus Circle

Who: Keane, 2005 BRIT Award winner for British Breakthrough Act and Best British Album, and 2005 Grammy(R) Award nominee for Best New Artist.

What: VH1 artist, Keane, performs music from the group's new CD, "Under The Iron Sea." This event, presented with VH1, includes a CD autographing session.

Why: Keane is performing only in a few select U.S. cities. This event offers fans the opportunity to meet the band in an intimate setting and be one of the first to purchase a copy of "Under the Iron Sea" and have it autographed. "Under the Iron Sea" follows Keane's highly successful debut release, "Hopes and Fears," which sold more than five million copies worldwide. VH1, the music and pop culture network and event co-presenter, will be onsite along with their Top 20 Countdown and VH1 News crews.

Information: To ensure the members of Keane are able to meet as many fans as possible, the artists will not be able to personalize their message when autographing their CDs and DVD. No photographs are allowed at the signing table. No items other than the CDs "Under the Iron Sea" and "Hopes and Fears," as well as the two-disc DVD documentary "Strangers," will be autographed at this event. No memorabilia will be signed.

Beginning Friday, June 23 at 8 a.m., 500 wristbands will be given to customers who have purchased a copy of "Under the Iron Sea" and show proof of purchase. There is a limit of two autographed items per wristband. The wristbands will be presented on a first come, first served basis. Wristbands are numbered to hold space in line, however, having a wristband does not guarantee the opportunity to meet Keane. Copies of "Under the Iron Sea," "Hopes and Fears," and "Strangers" are available for purchase at Borders stores.

The performance portion of the event will take place in the atrium adjacent to the entrance of the Borders store in the Time Warner Center - The Shops at Columbus Circle. The autographing session will occur inside the Borders store immediately following Keane's performance.
