Destiny Media Announces Ultimate Remote Control for Global Access to Local TV
Clipstream(TM) Live Available in English and Japanese Versions
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Destiny Media Technologies (BULLETIN BOARD: DSNY.OB) is pleased to announce a major update to Clipstream(TM) Live Video. Both an English and Japanese edition are available. The Japanese version is being distributed to retail in Japan by partner Inisia Corp.
Clipstream(TM) Live Video is a video broadcast software package that enables anyone to broadcast live video from their PC. A video signal from a camera or TV tuner card becomes web accessible from anywhere without the need to download player software.
The new ultimate remote control feature allows users to remotely choose channels, then watch their own licensed TV signal from anywhere on the web. Applications may include watching local sporting events or news while traveling.
According to Destiny VP Operations, John Gammack, remote IPTV support has been a common feature request. "We're also pleased to offer enhanced security features that will allow entrepreneurs to build new business models around our software."
Multi level security allows access to video to be limited to paying customers. Encrypted video streams can be limited dynamically to pre-authorized IP addresses or access can be controlled by user name and password.
Among a number of other new features is the ability to chat back to the broadcaster through text messaging.
"This is the first of several products referenced in our April corporate update," says Destiny CEO Destiny Media Technologies CEO Steve Vestergaard. "R&D is a major focus and we expect to announce the other products in the near future."
Clipstream(TM) Live is available for online purchase from http://live.clipstream.com/ starting at $199 for up to five simultaneous viewers.
