Tri-C Western Campus to Present Neil Zurcher
Author and Former Veteran of WJW-TV Fox 8 to Speak Wednesday, April 5
PARMA, Ohio, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus, 11000 Pleasant Valley Road in Parma, will present author and former television personality Neil Zurcher, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5 in a free lecture that is open to the public.
Zurcher is the author of Strange Tales from Ohio, and Ohio Oddities - A Guide to the Curious Attractions of the Buckeye State, both recently published by Cleveland's Gray & Co.
He will sign copies of the books following his one-hour presentation which will include the opportunity for audience members to participate in a question-and-answer session with Zurcher.
Zurcher logged more than a million miles on Ohio's roads over 25 years as a travel reporter for Cleveland television. He is perhaps best known for the "One Tank Trip" segments he did on WJW-TV Fox 8. Former Ohio Governor George Voinovich called him "One of the most respected and knowledgeable travel writers in the state."
Zurcher received the Distinguished Service Award from the Cleveland Society of Professional Journalists, and the prestigious "Silver Circle" Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He was also inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Press Club of Cleveland Hall of Fame.
