Lighthouse Reports Strong Results with the Signing of Major Deals Across the
Asia-Pacific Region
HONG KONG, March 15 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Lighthouse Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gold Peak Group, today announced that it has started 2006 on a positive note with a host of new customer wins.
"The signing of major deals across the Asia-Pacific region is testament to the fact that customers are recognizing the value of investing in Lighthouse's LED video systems to raise the awareness of their products and services," said Mr. Mark Chan, Managing Director of Lighthouse Technologies.
"The new contracts signed span the disciplines of entertainment, sport, advertising and fixed applications. This demonstrates the versatility of Lighthouse's video display solutions, and our ability to address a broad range of end-user needs," commented Mr. Chan.
New Lighthouse customers for 2006 include:
Green Day: The legendary American rockers at recent concerts in Melbourne opted for Lighthouse's R16, 16mm video screens to relay the band's performance to fans. Installed by Australian production company Big Picture Australia Pty, two giant 4 metre x 7.6 metre screens on-stage were supported by two 7.1 metre x 10.6 metre screens positioned at each side of the stage. Massteknik (Asia Pacific) Project Manager Steve Letch comments, "Both events went like a dream. The screens performed fantastically well and we had great technical support from Lighthouse."
Commonwealth Games: This year's biggest sporting spectacle in Melbourne is about to start with the help of 28 Lighthouse LED screens that are to be installed for the event by Bytecraft Entertainment. Screens will be positioned at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Rod Laver Arena, the State Netball 7 Hockey Centre, the Athletes Village, and mobile displays will follow the triathlon and marathon as they wind their way around the streets of Melbourne. In addition, the Yarra River will have video screens along its banks to show the opening ceremony, whilst six of the video displays will be dedicated for live sites around Melbourne and other regions.
South Australian Jockey Club: Lighthouse will be teaming up with distribution partner Bytecraft Entertainment to supply the South Australian Jockey Club with a 57 square metre screen mounted on a mobile truck. The screen will make its debut on March 13, 2006 at Morphetville Racecourse. It will then tour all major racetracks around Adelaide and South Australia including the famous "Oakbank", which is held each Easter and is one of Australia's largest national race.
Melbourne Cricket Ground: The Melbourne Cricket Ground is a world famous venue that plays host to major sporting events. It will soon house two new Lighthouse fascia panel screens that supplied by Bytecraft Entertainment, are each 16 metres wide x 1 metre high. The screens will be used to project images during major sporting tournaments such as international cricket test matches and Australian Football League (AFL) events. The contract also represents the first installation for Lighthouse's new F12-ER fascia panel screen.
Hollywood Plaza: Hollywood Plaza, one of the largest and busiest shopping malls situated in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong, is to install an indoor Lighthouse P10 video screen to run news clips, advertising promotions and to support major events. The screen, to be located in a premium position inside the shopping mall, will be used to help Hollywood Plaza both attract new advertisers and entertain mall guests.
