Headless Chicken's True Story, Chick Flick: The Miracle Mike Story, Screens at Mike The Headless Chicken Festival, May 19 - 20, 2006

DENVER, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- After screening at film festivals around the world, Chick Flick: The Miracle Mike Story will finally come back to roost in its own hometown -- at the annual Mike The Headless Chicken Festival in Fruita, Colorado. Chick Flick: The Miracle Mike Story is a humorous, yet true, documentary about Mike The Headless Chicken, the legendary rooster who survived eighteen months after losing his head to the farmer's axe.

A four-time sellout at the Starz International Film Festival in Denver, Chick Flick: The Miracle Mike Story has thrilled and appalled audiences from North America to Sweden to South Korea. The movie includes many extraordinary film clips and photos of the chicken, interviews with the family that owned him, and a truly bizarre real-life ending.

The "never-say-die" spirit of this bird is a western Colorado tradition celebrated every May in the town of Fruita, Colorado. This year the festival is scheduled on May 19 and 20, 2006 with Chick Flick: The Miracle Mike Story headlining the entertainment. In the past, it has featured such events as the "5K Run Like A Headless Chicken Race," chicken dance contests, frozen chicken football, concerts and parade.
