Vyvx Delivers Super Bowl Broadcast Feeds for 17th Straight Year

TULSA, Okla., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Vyvx, the market leader in providing fiber-optic, teleport and satellite transmission solutions to the media and entertainment industry, announced today that it once again provided the primary broadcast backhaul feeds for the Super Bowl(R). Vyvx also played a critical role in delivering the most expensive commercial spots of the year, as numerous national advertisers relied on the company to electronically deliver their Super Bowl advertising spots to broadcast destinations across the country.

Super Bowl XL(R) marked the 17th consecutive year in which broadcasters turned to Vyvx to provide backhaul services for the most highly viewed live broadcast event of the year. Vyvx provided both ABC and NFL Films with both live high-definition television (HDTV) and standard video feeds of Super Bowl XL in Detroit, providing the critical link between Ford Field and the ABC and NFL Films production facilities, enabling the broadcast to be delivered to millions of viewers worldwide. The Super Bowl capped an NFL season in which Vyvx provided its services for every NFL regular season and playoff game, delivering more than 3,100 video feeds in total.

"Customers continue to choose Vyvx as their live broadcast transmission provider for the Super Bowl because of our tradition of operational excellence and our commitment to innovation," said Derek Smith, senior vice president of Vyvx.
