Internationally Renowned Educational Organization to Host Overview, in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes will host a free overview, The Sensory and System Connection to Learning, on Saturday, February 25th at 1 p.m. at the Marriott Minneapolis West hotel. The presentation will provide information on Lindamood-Bell's scientifically-based learning programs, which develop language and literacy skills for reading, spelling, comprehension and math.
Lindamood-Bell is an internationally recognized leader in the research and development of programs for learning difficulties, and provides individualized instruction at 39 Learning Centers across the country, and one in London, England.
"We are excited by the amount of interest we have had in our programs and the possibility of opening a local Learning Center in the Minneapolis community," said Nanci Bell, director and co-founder of Lindamood-Bell. "This overview is an excellent opportunity for parents and educators to learn how a person's sensory system is connected to learning, and how focusing on processing, rather than methods, can make a significant difference in an individual's learning in a relatively short time period."
This year marks their 20th anniversary as an organization, although their programs have been in use for over 30 years. They have received national recognition from CNN, Newsweek, Time, US News and World Report and the neuroscience journal, Neuron, along with being featured on the PBS special, The Secret Life of the Brain.
