Toby Nelson Named Senior Vice President and Treasurer for Post-Separation Viacom
NEW YORK, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Viacom Inc. (NYSE:VIA)(NYSE:and VIA.B) announced today that George (Toby) Nelson has been appointed Senior Vice President and Treasurer for new Viacom, following the separation of the organization into two publicly traded companies, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2005.
Mr. Nelson will be responsible for domestic and international capital market activities, banking services, foreign exchange and employee benefit plan asset management for the Company. He reports to Michael J. Dolan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom.

Mr. Nelson moves into his new function from his previously held position as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer at Viacom, a role he assumed in July 1997. Mr. Nelson joined Viacom in 1994 as Assistant Treasurer, following the Company's merger with Paramount Communications Inc. Before joining Viacom, he served as Assistant Treasurer of Paramount from 1990 to 1994 and as Director of Corporate Finance of Gulf+Western from 1988 to 1990.
Mr. Nelson received a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
