New CD Seeks Local Voices of Optimism to Help Teens With Drug-Related Issues

New CD Seeks Local Voices of Optimism to Help Teens With Drug-Related Issues

MEDFORD, N.J., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- TeensPeace.com is now looking for local talent of all ages and genres to create music with a message. Musicians, bands and solo artists are being asked to submit original songs with inspiring messages that will be professionally produced on a compilation CD. The CD will spotlight lyrics of hope, inspiration and encouragement to teens addicted to drugs.

Proceeds from CD sales will benefit SODAT (Services to Overcome Drug Abuse Among Teenagers), a regional non-profit organization that has been helping teens deal with drug addictions and chemical dependencies for more than 35 years.

"I started TeensPeace.com for two reasons: to showcase local talent and help an organization like SODAT," said Jonn Savannah, founder of TeensPeace.com. Savannah, an international success in the music industry, recently relocated to Medford, NJ. As a musician and composer his credits include working with Van Morrison, Tina Turner, Squeeze and a host of top talents in the music industry.

Song submissions can be made directly by logging onto TeensPeace.com. All songs that meet the criteria will be posted and promoted online. Winning songs will be pressed on a limited edition CD to be released this spring and distributed throughout the region with proceeds benefiting SODAT. Winning bands and solo artists that are included in the final CD will win $500 in cash and prizes and be announced at a press conference the end of February.

Deadline for submissions is January 31, 2006.
