Rentrak to Add Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Product to U.S. Revenue Share Program in January 2006

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT) today announced that it has reached a revenue share agreement with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment ("SPHE") and will begin offering SPHE product to Rentrak's participating U.S. video stores beginning in January, 2006.

The revenue share agreement recognizes the successful relationship between Rentrak and SPHE that has been in operation in Canada since June of 2004 and marks the first time Rentrak has been able to offer SPHE products in the U.S. marketplace.

Under the agreement, Rentrak is authorized to offer its participating U.S. video retailers SPHE titles on a revenue share basis. This agreement does not affect any of SPHE's current direct revenue share agreements with its existing customers. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
