Navy Memorial Launches Summer 'Concerts on the Avenue'
WASHINGTON, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States Navy Memorial is the venue for music under the stars this summer as the "Concerts on the Avenue" begin.

The annual summer concert series debuts Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m., and follows each Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. through Labor Day.
The performances are directed by Capt. Ralph M. Gambone, USN, and feature the Navy Band's five distinct groups "The Commodores," "Sea Chanters," "Cruisers," "Country Current" and the full "Concert Band." The Navy Band's accomplished musicians play popular music for every taste including jazz, country, blue grass, rock n' roll, traditional choral music and music from Broadway.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
