WOW! Adds Bridges TV to Cable Television Lineup

'Surprise' Celebrity is Guest at American Muslim Network Launch on March 24th

NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- WOW! Cable, a provider of cable television, Internet and phone services, will add Bridges TV on its cable system in Chicago at a launch event on Thursday, March 24 at 1 p.m. The launch event will be held at the Naperville Library -- 95th Street Branch, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville, IL. A "surprise" celebrity guest will be honored at this event. Bridges TV, the first network targeted at American Muslims, will be offered as a premium channel on WOW!'s digital cable system in Chicago, joining WOW!'s Detroit and Columbus, Ohio markets, where Bridges TV was added last week.

The network is breaking ground by airing stories about Muslims not seen on mainstream television. Bridges TV broadcasts original daily newscasts on events in the Muslim community as well as cartoons, family-friendly sitcoms and movies about Muslim life. The network is the first of its kind in English aimed at the more than seven million Muslims in America, one of the fastest- growing demographics in the country.

Bridges TV began its cable operations in December, and has been available in select cable markets in New York, Michigan and Ohio. Bridges TV will be available through WOW! for a monthly subscription fee of only $14.99 on WOW! Digital Cable service.
