VH1 Save The Music Foundation Celebrates 'Family Day' at the American Museum of Natural History on Sunday, April 10
NEW YORK, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Critically acclaimed singer and pianist Peter Cincotti, New York's own Third Street Music Settlement Society and an instrument "petting zoo" are all part of VH1 Save The Music Foundation's first-ever "Family Day" in New York City at the American Museum of Natural History's Milstein Hall of Ocean Life on Sunday, April 10.
"Family Day" is a highlight of "Save The Music Week" in New York City from April 4-11, which promotes the benefits of music education and increases awareness about the VH1 Save The Music Foundation's efforts to restore music education programs in public schools in New York and across the country.
Highlights for VH1 Save The Music's "Family Day" include:
WHO: Peter Cincotti, the critically acclaimed singer and pianist, will
perform songs from his new CD "On The Moon." He will also
perform with the Marine Park Area Band -- student musicians from
PS 222, PS 207 and Marine Park Middle School -- all VH1 Save The
Music schools.
Students from the Third Street Music School Settlement, which
provides quality music and arts education programs to primarily
Lower East Side school children.
WHAT: An instrument "petting zoo" provided by Korg Sountree and Sam Ash
will give children hands-on experience with a variety of musical
instruments.
