Traffic Pulse(R) Chosen by The Weather Channel(R) To Deliver Live Traffic Conditions to Millions

Deployment of Traffic Pulse(R) Solutions to the Weather Channel's Loyal Viewers and Visitors to Begin Later This Year

ATLANTA, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Weather Channel, the nation's leading source for weather information, today announced their selection of Traffic Pulse provided by Traffic.com, the leading independent provider of interactive traffic solutions, for the delivery of real-time traffic data across The Weather Channel platforms: television, Web, and desktop applications. The Traffic Pulse solutions suite will enhance The Weather Channel portfolio of services. Implementation will begin in May, 2005.

"Like the weather, traffic patterns play a vital role in the lives of millions of Americans every day," said Debora Wilson, president, The Weather Channel. "We are constantly exploring new ways to add relevant information to our broadcasts and online content offerings. Our research indicates that traffic is something that consumers directly associate with weather. By integrating Traffic Pulse's state-of-the-art traffic information into our weather forecasts and reports, we are adding significant value for our viewers, advertisers and marketing partners."

Wilson noted that Traffic Pulse was selected because of its proprietary digital roadside sensor data collection resources, along with its ability to provide unique lane-by-lane traffic information, which includes average speed, volume and even type of vehicle. The flexible technology and consumer-focused content presentation deliver the high quality, accuracy, and breadth of coverage that is expected from The Weather Channel.

"We are delighted that The Weather Channel has chosen Traffic Pulse solutions," said Robert Verratti, ceo, Traffic.com, Inc. "The Weather Channel's high level of product innovation and commitment to excellence combined with a consumer reach of more than 88 million homes nationwide provides us with an ideal partner and platform to deploy our traffic content. We look forward to this new partnership that will provide consumers with the useful combination of weather and real-time traffic information delivered in convenient formats."

The Traffic Pulse solutions content will be integrated into the following:

- The Weather Channel: Traffic Pulse real-time traffic updates
will be provided during the "Local on the 8s" segment of the core
Weather Channel network.

- Weatherscan(R): Local traffic information with flow data will
be provided during the 24/7 all-local, all-the-time weather service.

- weather.com(R): Interactive traffic content will be
integrated into www.weather.com providing site visitors the ability to
obtain up-to-the-minute weather and interactive traffic information,
including traffic flow data, incident information, and interactive
traffic maps for their local area.

- Desktop Applications: Traffic will be added to The Weather
Channel's suite of desktop applications. These applications will offer
users fully functional interactive traffic information conveniently
from their computer desktop.
