A & E Network's Katie Brown Leads Panel in Executive Moms Event Discussion: 'I KNOW How She Does It'

NEW YORK, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Moms, the leading organization for women who are both professionals and mothers, is hosting a luncheon on April 20th, titled: "I Know How She Does It," offering fresh ideas and solutions from working mothers themselves on how it's possible to manage it all (career, family, life) with success (at least most of the time).

TV lifestyle guru, Katie Brown, host of A&E's "All Year Round with Katie Brown" will moderate a panel of high-profile women with a special connection to the subject, including:

* Mary Lou Quinlan, CEO and best selling author of "Just Ask a Woman"
* Wendy Sachs, author of the new book "How She Really Does It"
* Melinda McLaughlin, SVP, Senior Vice President, Integrated Sales &
Marketing, A&E Television Networks, and mother of three

"It seems that whenever working mothers are depicted in popular culture, it's often with the viewpoint that they are harried and out-of-control. A prime example: the recent best-selling Allison Pearson novel, 'I Don't Know How She Does It.' Yet what we've seen from the members of Executive Moms is that they DO know how to do it, and they are doing it all with a lot of finesse," says Executive Moms President, Marisa Thalberg. "At the same time, the #1 request we get from women is to provide them with ideas on how to do it all better. We therefore thought this event offered a perfect opportunity to draw both on the thoughts of our experts, and our guests, to generate an unprecedented range of inspiring and truly useful thoughts on what works for women like us."

The luncheon, sponsored by A&E Network, with contributing support from PersonalShopper.com and Reuters, will be held at the Reuters Building (3 Times Square) from 12:00-2:00pm. Admission is $60 and is open to members of Executive Moms and the public. To reserve a place (reservations must be made in advance), visit http://www.executivemoms.com/.

Executive Moms provides fabulous Metropolitan women who are both mothers and professionals with the networking and social opportunities, peer support and vital resources that will enable them to thrive in both roles.
