UAW-DaimlerChrysler Exhibition Reveals Autoworkers' Artistic Side
WHAT: The UAW-DaimlerChrysler National Training Center will open the 2004-2005 Artists at Work Exhibition, a unique art show by DaimlerChrysler employees from across the country.
WHO: Sixty-three employees have work in the show and most are expected to attend the opening.
UAW and DaimlerChrysler Corporation officials will be in attendance to recognize employees who represent a cross section of union and management, ranging from production workers to engineers and designers.
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, 5 to 7 p.m.
DETAILS: The exhibit will be unveiled at an opening reception on the first floor of the National Training Center, 2211 East Jefferson Avenue at Chene, in Detroit.
The exhibit of paintings, metal sculpture, woodwork, photographs and other visual media comprises 156 pieces, selected in a competition judged by art professionals.
OTHER: Attendance at the reception is by invitation.
