23 DLP Products Will Entertain Live Audience for 6th Consecutive Year

DALLAS, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN) (TI) today announced that projectors and televisions featuring its award-winning DLP(TM) technology have been selected to showcase the 77th Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles this Sunday, Feb. 27th. This is the sixth consecutive year that DLP technology has served as the preferred display technology at the world's most popular awards ceremony.

13 DLP technology-based DP28sx projectors from Digital Projection will capture the excitement of each Oscar(R) moment on screens throughout the Kodak Theatre. In addition, 10 Samsung 56" DLP TVs (HL-P5674W) will provide high- definition picture clarity of the presentations and acceptance speeches. The Samsung DLP TVs, the industry's top selling line of DLP TVs, will give nominees, presenters and attendees the ability to view the show from multiple locations, including: the green room, the VIP room, and the lobby areas.
