JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Football League, PLAYERS, INC. and eBay are teaming up with two National Auctioneers Association (NAA) leaders to conduct the league's third 'live' auction both on-site and online at the Super Bowl NFL Experience beginning at 1 p.m. (EST) Saturday, Feb. 5 in Jacksonville.

Auctioneers Barbara Bonnette, NAA director from Alexandria, La., and Mike Jones, CAI, GPPA, NAA president from Dallas, will host the event which in the past has generated more than $160,000 for NFL Charities. Previous specialty items sold have included the kickoff football from the big game, game gear and a Michael Vick rookie jersey which fetched $6,000 in New Orleans.

Bonnette, of Bonnette Auction Company, and Jones, of Mike Jones Auction Group, have full staffs in place to assist with the event, which promises to be an "experience like no other."

Fans may participate in the auction on-site at the "America Online Presents the NFL Experience" at JEA Park. To get in on the action online through eBay, fans can go to http://www.superbowl.com/ or http://www.ebay.com/ . Fans may make absentee bids on items now at either web site.

There will be 39 items in the auction, with all proceeds going to specific beneficiaries based on the product's source. Perhaps the most coveted item for auction will be the opening kickoff ball from Super Bowl XXXVIII with proceeds going to Rebuilding Together, the nation's largest volunteer home rehabilitation initiative. Rebuilding Together and the NFL work side-by-side at every Super Bowl to rehabilitate homes of low-income homeowners in the game's host city.

Another featured item will be an original Super Bowl XXXVIII painting by Russell Irwin with proceeds donated to tsunami relief efforts. Other auction items will include the second half kickoff ball from Super Bowl XXXVIII; a Super Bowl XXXVIII end zone pylon; both official coin toss coins from the 2004 AFC and NFC Championship Games; a set of yard markers and pylons from the 2004 AFC Championship Game; game jerseys from Aaron Brooks, Jeff Garcia, Jamie Sharper, Jake Delhomme, Trent Dilfer, Byron Leftwich, Matt Hasselbeck, Chad Pennington, LaDainian Tomlinson, Fred Taylor and Randy Moss; and signed collectibles including a Brett Favre helmet, a Ben Roethlisberger helmet, a 2004 30+ signature Rookies helmet, a 70+ signature 2004 Pro Bowl ball, and a 70+ signed Hall of Fame 40th anniversary ball.

All items will be available for viewing in the Card Show tent near the autograph stage at the NFL Experience beginning Thursday, February 3. Interested bidders can pre-register at the viewing booth.
