ServiceWare Announces Completion of Reverse Split and Ticker Symbol Change to "SVWN" Effective February 4, 2005

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ServiceWare Technologies, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SVWN) , a provider of knowledge-powered support solutions, today announced that the company has completed its reverse split and that the company's common stock will commence trading under the symbol "SVWN" on the over the counter bulletin board as of the beginning of business on Friday, February 4, 2005.

The new symbol results from the completion of a previously announced one (1) for ten (10) reverse stock split which the company undertook in an effort to begin meeting certain NASDAQ listing qualifications. On a pre-split basis, ServiceWare had 52,522,452 shares of common stock outstanding as of February 2, 2005. As a result of the reverse split, every ten (10) shares of common stock has been combined into one (1) share of common stock and the total number of issued and outstanding shares of common stock will be reduced to approximately 5,252,245 shares.

The reverse stock split affects all ServiceWare Technologies, Inc. common stock, stock options, and warrants outstanding immediately prior to the record date of the reverse stock split. The ticker symbol SVCW will no longer be used for trading ServiceWare stock.
