L'Oreal Paris Supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund with the 'Color of Hope' Bracelet

L'Oreal Paris Supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund with the 'Color of Hope' Bracelet

Academy Award Nominated Actresses Receive Exclusive Diamond Version to Kick-Off the Campaign

NEW YORK, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- L'Oreal Paris' partnership of hope with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) continues into the Academy Awards season with the introduction of the limited edition "Color of Hope" bracelet. A pave diamond and white gold circle on a mauve silk cord, the Color of Hope Bracelet will be presented to this year's Oscar(TM)-nominated actresses to congratulate them on their achievements, and in the hope that these great women of style and substance will don their bracelets as a show of support for the advancement of research, increased awareness, and ultimately, a cure for ovarian cancer.

Whether viewed as a circle representing life, endurance, or love, or seen as an "O" for OCRF, the bracelet will be a simple way for women (and men!) everywhere to visibly and tangibly help in the fight against this most deadly of women's cancers.

The silk cord is done in mauve because it is the "color" of hope as made popular by the L'Oreal Paris Color of Hope cosmetics collection, launched in 2004. Profits from the sale of the Color of Hope lipstick also benefited OCRF.

Along with the female Academy Award nominated actresses, other notable women who have long championed the fight against ovarian cancer, such as Trudie Styler, Rita Wilson, Donna Karan, Milla Jovovich, and Andie McDowell, will also be presented with the exclusive Color of Hope Bracelet in the week prior to the Academy Awards celebration.

But you don't have to walk the red carpet to take up the cause: A chic, sterling silver Color of Hope Bracelet is available through the L'Oreal Paris website (http://www.lorealparisusa.com/) and at L'Oreal Paris retail stores for $12.95, net profits to benefit the OCRF. The Color of Hope bracelet will be sold throughout 2005, and in what will become a new tradition, a variation will be available yearly.

L'Oreal Paris' dedication to and appreciation of women everywhere inspired the company to give back and make a difference. In 1997, L'Oreal Paris made a long-term commitment to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, which continues to build. To date, L'Oreal Paris has helped raise over $8 million dollars on behalf of the OCRF.

ABOUT THE OVARIAN CANCER RESEARCH FUND
