Hardee's(R) to Consider Offering New 'Killer Kamikaze Burger'
Tonight Show Spoof Idea May Have Potential, Chain Says
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Hardee's restaurants announced today that it would consider creating a new burger based on the one developed by Jay Leno's staff on The Tonight Show. The new 7.5-pound "Killer Kamikaze Burger" promises to bring burger lovers to their knees.
The Killer Kamikaze Burger was first seen in a commercial spoof for loosely fictional fast-food chain, Lardee's, during the Feb. 9 episode of The Tonight Show. The mondo-sized burger included six all-beef patties topped with good ol' American cheese, bacon, more bacon, a whole jar of mayonnaise, pork rinds, gravy, a pickle, even more mayonnaise -- all on a low-carb bun. And dipped in chocolate.
The Killer Kamikaze Burger may someday be available at Hardee's, and possibly Carl's Jr.(R), its sister chain. "It's too soon to tell," said Haley. "But this could easily become a new cult favorite, or else a favorite among cults."
