FaceTime's CTO Jonathan Christensen to Deliver Presentation and Participate in Industry Panel at RSA Conference 2005

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- FaceTime Communications, the leading provider of solutions that secure, manage and extend instant messaging (IM) and peer-to-peer (P2P) applications, today announced its CTO and IM industry veteran Jonathan Christensen will be featured in two sessions at RSA's 14th Annual Computer Security Conference taking place February 14-18 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Jonathan will present "Remote Instant Messaging: Vulnerable Anytime, Anywhere" as part of the Wireless & Embedded Security track at 3:25 p.m. PST on February 17th. He will also participate in an Instant Messaging Risk Panel within the Hackers & Threats track on February 15th at 2:00 p.m. PST. The panel brings a diverse experience in corporate IM systems and related messaging and collaboration issues. Topics will cover scams, viruses and attacks; SPIM; the business risks and benefits of IM; and how IM impacts the bottom line.

The "Remote Instant Messaging" session will discuss how to enable remote workers to use IM safely outside the network. It will look at how IM management solutions, such as FaceTime's, resolve the security and compliance risks posed by corporate IM use at home offices, client sites and other remote locations. With the number of mobilized workers expected to grow to more than 31 million by 2007 (Gartner), the number of messages that go unchecked by IT, and thereby violate compliance laws, could skyrocket. Moreover, the network is left unprotected from Internet hackers when employees trade IM messages outside of the network. Mr. Christensen will discuss enabling remote IM use without jeopardizing network and data security or breaking corporate and regulatory requirements.
