Company encourages getting fit and "Staying Alive in 2005"
ATLANTA, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldTravel BTI, the nation's third largest corporate travel management company, today announced that it will participate in Dr. Phil's "Staying Alive in 2005" Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge to encourage a healthy lifestyle for its employees.
WorldTravel values the importance of a healthy way of life and supports their colleagues in the effort to stay fit. In conjunction with Dr. Phil's "Staying Alive in 2005" Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge, the company is implementing a weight loss program taking place February 1 through May 17, 2005.
"We are thrilled to be able to offer this program to our employees," Nancy Pavey, senior vice president, national human resources, WorldTravel BTI said. "Participation in the program is expected to be tremendous, with at least 1,000 employees likely to sign up."
Throughout the challenge, WorldTravel will provide a number of activities to promote good nutritional and exercise habits, including a Wellness Day and step contest. The company will award prizes at the program's completion to first, second, third, fourth and fifth place winners in the categories of total pounds lost and percentage of total body weight lost. In addition, all participants will be eligible for random prizes to be awarded over the course of the challenge.
Although based on the principles outlined in THE ULTIMATE WEIGHT SOLUTION by Dr. Phil McGraw and inspired by elements discussed on The DR. PHIL Show, the WorldTravel BTI Weight Loss Challenge is not officially endorsed or affiliated with Dr. Phil McGraw or The DR. PHIL Show.
