Director Eric Small's 'The Dust Factory' to Be Released On DVD March 22

Film Director Involved in Various Projects

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Small's feature directorial debut "The Dust Factory" is set to be released on DVD and VHS March 22, 2005 through MGM Home Entertainment.

"The Dust Factory" is a fantasy-adventure about two teenagers who find budding romance in a magical realm somewhere between life and death. The film stars up-and-comers Hayden Panettiere ("Racing Stripes") and Ryan Kelley ("Mean Creek"), as well as Academy Award-nominee Armin Mueller-Stahl ("Shine"). The release will include a music video of Hayden Panettiere singing the title song, "Someone Like You," the original theatrical trailer, a featurette with behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes.

Small is also the co-creator of the Emmy nominated and Writers Guild Award-winning Showtime Original Series "Penn & Teller: B.S.!" The second season is available on DVD today. Currently in the works for Small is the formation of a production company with "Dust Factory" producing partner Tani Cohen. The company will focus on developing feature film and television projects. Upcoming projects are the feature length boxing documentary "The Distance" and an adaptation of the legal thriller "The Great Divide."

Cohen's credits include the independent films "Inside Monkey Zetterland," "Egg Salad," and "Guinevere," which have all screened in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. She also executive produced the Showtime Original Feature "Snow In August," which was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards, including Best Children's Special, in 2002.
