'CHANGE THE SUBJECT' to Make a Splash at the Brattle Theatre

Boston Premiere of Unique Action Surf Film Features World's Best Surfers, Local Culture, Progressive Music and International Surf and Travel Cinematography

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- BLUE WAVE Marketing & Promotions and Four Corners Films today announced the first Boston screening of "CHANGE THE SUBJECT." The film will screen at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge on March 10 at 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. and include a Q&A session with local executive producer, John Moran. "CHANGE THE SUBJECT" is an action surf film that takes on a documentary feel to offer a unique perspective into progressive surfing. Captured on 16mm and digital video and shot on location in Tahiti, Australia, South Africa, Hawaii, California, France and Spain the footage focuses on modern performance surfing, including epic contest clashes between world champions, as well as free surfing in some of the world's best waves.

The film stars champion surfers Kelly Slater, Andy and Bruce Irons, Mike Fanning, Taj Burros, The Hobgoods, Dean Morrison, Joel Parkinson, Cory and Shea Lopez, Taylor Knox, Chis Ward and others in beautifully captured shots of competitive and free surfing action. Other highlights include a soundtrack of independent musical artists such as, Pinback, Spoon, Placebo, RJD2, The Dining Rooms, Built to Spill, Cursive, Enon and more.

Local executive producer, John Moran of BLUE WAVE Marketing & Promotions teamed up with producers John Lynch and Theo Bessin, and cinematographer Matt Scott to produce the film. The group traveled to South Africa, Europe and Hawaii to complete the production of the film and upon returning, Moran recruited Matt Kleiner as the editor and creative director and Ryan Kleiner to finalize the art direction on the project. A true collaborative effort, "CHANGE THE SUBJECT" was completed and released under Four Corners Films, out of Santa Barbara, CA. in 2004.
